After much review, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule our Foodservice Programs taking place next week at the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. After getting enthusiastic responses last week, we thought the program could still take place in a safe and productive environment, but as we all watch the news unfold around the Coronavirus, we cannot predict how this will impact attendance fully and would like to reschedule to a time when everyone feels safe and has the ability to be productive!

During this time of uncertainty, ECRM is committed to providing ongoing guidance and support to our buyers and suppliers. As a sense of apprehension over the Coronavirus affects our Industry, we strive to continue to create meaningful connections between buyers and suppliers with safe, curated, face-to-face programs and through the scaled technology of the RangeMe platform.
Over the past couple days we have been in communication with our Buyer and Supplier community to understand their needs, their wants and their overall feelings regarding many of our upcoming Programs – an overwhelming majority of the community want and need these Programs to continue in order to grow their businesses; but, many have concerns regarding the scale and trajectory of the Coronavirus within the next few weeks.

Throughout the world, businesses are dealing with the consequences of the Novel Corona Virus. ECRM is no different – we are monitoring this virus closely and taking preliminary precautions onsite during our Programs.
Health concerns have to come first in times like this; yet we, as a business, must attempt to remain rational and focused. As leaders in our Industry – we strive to do just that.
After reviewing advice from global health authorities like the World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, as well as national and local authorities we have decided to continue with our Programs in America and Asia as planned. In Europe, we re-scheduled our European Dry Food Program in Rome from the week of March 22nd to the week of September 21st.
The extent of this virus in most geographies is not sustained or widespread and we are optimistic that our scheduled Programs will transpire as planned; but we will continue to closely monitor this situation while keeping our clients safety and well-being top of mind.
Providing a safe environment where our clients can meet and conduct business is of the utmost importance – to this end, we will promptly communicate any changes to our current plans on this webpage as well as through email to our affected participants.
While the following common-sense hygiene precautions may seem elementary; it’s important that all our staff and clients practice these simple steps:
Wash hands frequently using soap and water for 20 seconds.
Cough or sneeze into your elbow or use a tissue and discard in the trash immediately.
Use hand sanitizer frequently.
Use no-handshake policy.
Stay away from the Program when ill. Persons who feel unwell (i.e. fever, cough, and requiring admission to hospital) should stay at home and get well.
Maintain distance if you are coughing or sneezing and wash hands frequently. Close contact with sick individuals should be avoided.
