John van der Valk ECRM Europe - CEO
Until August 2020 John was President Advance of Informa Market’s division, and spearheaded the expansion of digital products and services across the exhibition portfolios, as well as expansion in advanced analytics within the Informa Intelligence division. He came to Informa from UBM and has built his career in business information and B2B media. Prior to this role John was Managing Director of UBM Amsterdam, and was responsible for global trade exhibitions and online activities, primarily in Food and Pharma.
Prior to joining UBM, John held senior management positions at VNU/Nielsen, both in Europe and in the US. John received his MBA in Business Administration, with a specialization in Marketing Management, from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and the Community of European Management Schools.
Together with this wife and three children, John lives in one of 10 of the world’s unsung places according to the Lonely Planet, namely Utrecht in the Netherlands.
