2017 Global Wine, Beer & Spirits EPPS at Chateau Elan Winery 10/31/2016
ECRM is hosting the Global Wine, Beer & Spirits EPPS held August 27-30 at the beautiful Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, GA. This stunning estate is easily accessible but is removed from the hustle and bustle of a major city so it has a relaxed environment and French country estate feel. Home to over 3,500 acres of vineyards the Chateau Elan has produced wines that have brought home 220 awards over the last 3 years. Attendees will also be able to enjoy 7 dining venues, 63 holes of championship golf, world-class spa and stunning views of the grounds.
The 2017 EPPS has already generated an impressive buyer attendee list which includes; Walgreens, Meijer, ALDI, United Supermarkets, Exchange, Food Lion, Murphy USA and many other companies. Some of the supplier companies attending include; BeTini Spirits, C. Mondavi & Sons, Minhas Micro Distillery, Myx Fusions, Riboli Family Wine Estates, Shaw-Ross International Importers, Vinamericas, Winesellers, Ltd. among others.
““ECRM continues to be one of the greatest resources that link the Walgreens buying team to diverse number of suppliers available worldwide,” said Dale Johnson of Walgreens. “Our Adult Beverage team will continue to make the ECRM meetings and format an integral part of our review and selection process throughout the year. To date approximately 20% of the planogram items have been discovered during the ECRM events.”
The EPPS offers more than just one-on-one meetings between buyers and suppliers. Educational opportunities will also be available where attendees can learn about the latest trends in the adult beverage industry. In 2016 Nielsen’s Danny Brager presented topics around the ways in which suppliers and retailers can adapt to the ever-changing consumer behavior. View a recap of Danny’s presentation.
The Grand Tasting Awards will also take place where the latest brands showcase their products before expert judges who vote for their favorites in a variety of categories. Last year the competition was sponsored by MMR and there was a great turnout with fierce competition. Watch to learn more about the products that won the 2016 Grand Tasting competition.
