Revlon Takes Over Times Square  5/20/2015

The “Naked Cowboy” is a popular attraction for visitors to New York’s Times Square, but this weekend he was upstaged by Revlon’s LOVE IS ON Pop-Up Shop, which was created to bring the brand’s unique beauty experience to select cities across the U.S.

The Pop-Up Shop, which was open in the heart of Times Square May 16 and 17, offered personalized makeovers and manicures using Revlon’s new and innovative product launches; one-on-one consultations with Revlon’s expert Beauty Advisors; and a TRY ME sample bar allowing attendees to test products prior to purchase.

And in a brilliant social media marketing move, Revlon fans who posted selfies with the hashtag #LOVEISON had the chance to see their photo displayed on the Revlon Global Love Beacon – a giant digital billboard overlooking Times Square.

“The mission of our Revlon LOVE IS ON movement is to inspire and entice love,” said John Collier, SVP and General Manager of Revlon’s US Consumer Division. “The pop-up shop gives us the opportunity to bring that inspiration to life by offering consumers a unique and personalized way to interact with our products.”

The shop is midway through its three-month tour, which began April 3rd in Dallas and ends July 12 in Chicago. Its remaining stops will be in Minneapolis June 25 to 27, and Chicago July 10 to 12.

And for those of you interested, you can find the Naked Cowboy in Times Square daily just before lunchtime, according to his website. He can also be booked for celebrity appearances or to officiate a wedding.

Only in NY...
