Boca Raton-based provider of integrated pharmaceutacal 3PL managed services Woodfield Distribution, LLC (WDSrx) has completed construction of a secure vault at its Boca Raton, Fla. facility for the handling and storage of Controlled Substances (CII).

The new structure adds 2,250 square feet capable of accommodating approximately 400 pallet positions. The current total capacity for CII pharmaceutical drug products increases to 2,600 square feet in the Florida location.

“The requirements for a new client stipulated capacity for Controlled Substances (CII) beyond our previous limits," said WDSrx President Adam Runsdorf. "The new vault accommodates the current needs of our clients in the Boca Raton, Fla. facility and anticipates additional demand for premium vault space for future customers.”

Custom-built by Vault Structures, Inc., based in Fort Myers, FL, the structure weighs approximately 224,353 pounds. The main door alone weighs 10,000 pounds. Construction was completed in 15 days. Comprehensive security systems include fire, video, alarm and temperature monitoring.

The WDSrx Distribution Center in Sugar Land, Texas opened in November 2015 with similar capabilities to the Boca Raton, Florida headquarters including storage for Controlled Substances (CII-CV). “Our objective is to provide the highest level of services and support for clients from both of our locations,” added Runsdorf.
